A: do you like going to the beach?
B: No, not really. I never liked going to the beach ever since I was a child.
A: Why not? The beach is fun and so lovely to be in. I wish I could go there every day. I used to go when I was younger and my parents lived in Malibu.
B: I do not like the heat and humidity nor the sun. And also the smell is very irritating. I like it better indoors.
A: You are so unusual. I never met anyone of your age who doesn’t like the beach. Do you like volleyball?
B: No. I am very bad at sports. I always hurt myself while playing anything that isn’t a board game.
A: Oh dear poor you. I could teach you. You should spend your next vacation travelling with me. We can have so much fun. And stay in the sun and get a fabulous tan.
B: They all sound tempting but I don’t want to get tanned.
A: You are as pale as a corpse.
B: Hey! That is so rude!!
A: I didn’t mean to offend you. But it’s true. You should play outdoors sometime.
B: I like ice skating. Let’s do that instead.
A: I cannot. I always slip.
B: No problem. I will teach you.
A: Okay great, in winter we can ice skate and in summer we will go to the beach.
B: That sounds good. A: It does indeed.
