Formula: S+ am/is/are (+not) +going to + V1
-We use “be going to” to talk about future plans and intentions.
I’m going to buy a car next month.
A:Do you have a plan for the weekend?
B:Yes, I’m going to paint the walls.
-We use “be going to” to make predictions from present evidence.
Look at those black clouds! I think it is going to rain.
Look out! The milk is going to boil over.
-We use “be probably going to” if your plans are not definite.
We are probably going to sell our house next year.
-With the verbs “go” and “come”, we usually use the present continuous for future plans.
I am going to Ankara tomorrow.
She is coming this afternoon.
II-WILL FUTURE
-We use Will to make predictions.
One day UFOs will land on the earth.
-We use “will” when we decide to do sth at the time of speaking.
A:Would you like sth to drink?
B:Oh thanks, I’ll have some coke.
-We use “will” for promises.
A:I’ll pay my dept until this weekend.
B:Don’t worry, I’ll help you.
-We use “will” to ask for and offer sth.
I’ll make you a cup off tea.
-We use “will probably” for the future to express that sth is not definite.
She’ll probably accept my offer.
-We often use “will” after “I think, I expect, I believe,..”
