A: Where were you during the tremor?
B: I was home, sleeping. I realised an earthquake on so I woke up and saw everything was shaking. What about you?
A: I woke up 5 mins before the incident. I was lying on my bed. Then everything started jumping around. My brother who sleeps like a dead man… woke up after three shakes… my father shouted out my name to wake me up. Everyone ran down to the main road. .. I went last as I had to lock the doors and was fetching blankets
B: Were you scared?
A: To be honest I was scared that my mom would go into panic or her blood pressure would rise. I didn’t care that much about myself. But I was worried about my family. B: Is your mother okay now?
A: Yeah she’s okay. I was really scared seeing her face at night. Everything is okay now.
B: I am glad. Getting down the staircase during an earthquake isn’t the wisest thing to do by the way.
A: I actually wouldn’t have done that if my family would have stayed asleep. If everyone stayed asleep. I would’ve lied on my bed as I was and would’ve waited for fate to happen.
B: Next time stay home and make your family stay too. Get beside (not under) a strong furniture and cover your head with a pillow.
A: Oh about that… I would’ve told them to get under the pillars, and strong columns of the building.
B: That is a terrible idea!
A: I guess that’s the basic procedure I knew. But now I will follow your suggestions. Thank you.
B: No problem. Just stay safe.
A: Thank you. You too.
