Günlük İş Hayatı Diyaloğu

Interviewer: Sorry, Sir. May I occupy a few minutes of yours please?

George: Yes.

Interviewer: I am making interviews with people to learn about daily routines at their jobs.

Could you tell me what your job is?

George: Well, I am a receptionist at a five-star hotel in İstanbul.

Interviewer: A receptionist at a hotel? That sounds interesting! What exactly do you do at your job?

George: It sounds an easy job. But believe me; it is too hard and tiring. Because as I told you I am working for a luxurious hotel and all customers demand first class service beginning from the reception.

Interviewer: Could you give me some details?

George: We greet our visitors and book their rooms. It is simple. However, while doing it, we spend some time and sometimes customers are too impatient to wait for even 5 minutes. They think they are the centre of the earth. They don’t want to wait or answer our questions to fill in forms. So, they cause problems.

Interviewer: What time do you start your job?

George: It changes. We work on different shifts.

Interviewer: I see. Do you like your job?

George: I must. Because I earn enough money to cover my expenses and it is not easy to find a better job, is it?

Interviewer: You are absolutely right. Thank you for sharing your time.
