Çevre Sorunları Diyaloğu

Agah: Oh, it is raining again!

Ursula: Don’t you like it? I wish it would rain all the time. Isn’t it romantic?

Agah: I like it.But that is not the case.

Ursula: What then?

Agah: June has already finished and we have not felt summer, yet. That is what I am worried about.

Ursula: What do you mean?

Agah: Seasons have changed. I remember just 2-3 years ago. It was hot in those days. For the last two years, it has been cold.

Ursula: Why do you think it is then?

Agah: To me, it is because of global warming. It has affected seasons as well.

Ursula: What can be done to stop it or at least slow it down?

Agah: Nothing. It is too late. We have lost our world.

Ursula: Come on! Don’t be that pessimistic. There is always a way. Scientists must be working on something.

Agah: I don’t believe in scientists, either. It is them who have caused all these problems.

Ursula: You are putting the blame on scientists, have I heard right?

Agah: Yes, you have. Scientists and their silly inventions and works have done it.

Ursula: I don’t agree with you. If we need to blame someone, that must be the greedy politicians and businessmen.

Agah:  Maybe, you are right. But without scientists’ help, they would do nothing. That is why I am angry with them. Do you understand me?

Ursula: I do. But, let’s finish it. The rain makes me cold and romantic. Why don’t you take me somewhere we can listen to music, drink tea and enjoy the rain?

Agah: Are you an idiot? We can stay at home, you can make us tea and I can read my article on global warming.

Ursula: You have always been such an insensitive person. I sometimes regret marrying you.
